3/19/2018 MINUTES 1 <br /> COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />COMMISSIONERS CONFERENCE ROOM <br />REGULAR MEETING <br /> <br />MONDAY 9:50 A.M. MARCH 19, 2018 <br /> <br />Board members present: Chairman Laura Osiadacz & Vice-Chairman Obie <br />O’Brien. Excused Commissioner Paul Jewell. <br /> <br />Others: Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board II; Jill Scheffer, <br />Event Center Director & Lisa Young, HR Director. <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING DEPARTMENT HEAD EVENT CENTER <br /> <br />Jill Scheffer, Event Center Director requested the Board’s <br />permission to hire temporary/on-call employees while they work to <br />hire their two new employees. She stated that there are some large <br />events coming up and they need the help and they have the funds in <br />the budget. <br /> <br />Lisa Young, HR Director indicated she had no concerns and noted that <br />they would only be allowed for up to 60 days, otherwise the Board <br />would need to approve an extension. <br /> <br />Commissioner O’Brien and Chairman Osiadacz authorized the <br />temporary/on-call employees for up to 60 days. <br /> <br />Meeting adjourned at 10:00 a.m. <br /> <br /> <br />KITTITAS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />DEPUTY CLERK OF THE BOARD KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Mandy Buchholz Laura Osiadacz, Chairman <br />
