2018-01-03 MINUTES 1
COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES
KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON
COMMISSIONER’S CONFERENCE ROOM
SPECIAL MEETING

WEDNESDAY 11:00 A.M. JANUARY 3, 2018

Board members present: Chairman Laura Osiadacz; Vice-Chairman Obie
O’Brien; Commissioner Paul Jewell.

Others: Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board II; Brett
Wachsmith, Treasurer.

SPECIAL MEETING TAX TITLE PARCEL #21116 COMMISSIONERS

At 11:00 a.m. Chairman Osiadacz opened a Special Meeting to receive
an update from County Treasurer Brett Wachsmith regarding Tax Title
Parcel #21116.

Brett Wachsmith, Treasurer questioned if the Board would be
interested in “selling” Tax Title Parcel #21116 to the gentlemen who
has been maintaining it as it’s adjoining his property. He stated
that the County should not have foreclosed on the property in 2011
(before his time) which added $2,000.00 in fees for $30.00 in taxes
owed. He stated that if the Board was in support of what is being
proposed he would follow up with his Prosecutor and see what options
he can present to the landowner.

The Board expressed their support for what Mr. Wachsmith was trying
to accomplish. Noting that they would at minimum charge the $30.00
of back taxes. They asked him to follow up with his Prosecutor and
proceed if possible.

Meeting adjourned at 11:09 a.m.

KITTITAS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
DEPUTY CLERK OF THE BOARD KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON

Mandy Buchholz Laura Osiadacz, Chairman
