2017-11-22 MINUTES 1 <br /> COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />COMMISSIONER’S AUDITORIUM <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br /> <br />WENESDAY 1:00 P.M. NOVEMBER 22, 2017 <br /> <br />Board members present: Chairman Paul Jewell; Vice-Chairman Laura <br />Osiadacz & Commissioner Obie O’Brien. <br /> <br />Others: Dan Carlson, CDS Director; Mike Flory, Building Official; <br />Lindsey Ozbolt, Planning Official; Steph Mifflin, Senior Permit <br />Tech; and Judy Pless, Budget & Finance Manager. <br /> <br />SPECIAL MEETING 2018 BUDGET COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />At 1:00 p.m. Chairman Jewell opened a Special Meeting to review the <br />2018 Preliminary Budget for the Community Development Services <br />Department. <br /> <br />Dan Carlson, CDS Director reviewed their proposed budget. He said <br />the Fire Marshal’s goal is to get 400 fire and life safety <br />inspections done per year. He indicated they would need to create a <br />plan and strategy to get it all completed and continue to review it <br />annually. Commissioner Jewell asked to have the Fire Marshal provide <br />them an update on their balance with revenue/expenditures, as well <br />as review their fees to cost recovery. <br /> <br />The Board discussed the general budget including the library <br />agreements; increasing monthly contributions to employee medical <br />benefits; and salary increases for non-exempt and exempt positions. <br /> <br />Meeting adjourned at 3:00 p.m. <br /> <br />KITTITAS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />CLERK OF THE BOARD KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br /> <br /> <br />Julie Kjorsvik Paul Jewell, Chairman <br />
