11/21/2017 MINUTES 1 <br />COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />COMMISSIONERS CONFERENCE ROOM <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br /> <br />TUESDAY 1:00 P.M. NOVEMBER 21, 2017 <br /> <br />Board members present: Chairman Paul Jewell; Vice-Chairman Laura <br />Osiadacz; and Commissioner Obie O’Brien. <br /> <br />Others: Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board II; Mark Cook, <br />Public Works Director; and 2 members of the public. <br /> <br />SPECIAL MEETING BOWERS FIELD FBO SERVICES PUBLIC WORKS <br /> <br />Chairman Jewell opened a Special Meeting to discuss Bowers Field FBO <br />Services. <br /> <br />Mark Cook, Public Works Director, provided information to the Board <br />relating to the RFP they advertised in the beginning of October <br />2017. He reviewed Central Washington University’s response to the <br />County’s RFP for limited fixed base operators (FBO) services at <br />Bowers Field, Ellensburg, WA. <br /> <br />There was discussion on the need to find a long term funding <br />strategy. <br /> <br />The Board discussed the proposed price structure and items. They <br />directed Mr. Cook to notify CWU they would not be interested in such <br />as Item #2 – provide and maintain a vending machine supporting pilot <br />snacks available a minimum of eight hours per day, six days per week <br />for $500.00 annually; Item #4 – Coordinate rental cars for pilots <br />with area rental car providers for $3,000.00 annually. <br /> <br />Meeting adjourned at 1:40 p.m. <br />KITTITAS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />DEPUTY CLERK OF THE BOARD KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Mandy Buchholz Mandy Buchholz, Chairman
