08/21/2017 MINUTES 1 <br /> COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />COMMISSIONERS CONFERENCE ROOM <br />REGULAR MEETING <br /> <br />MONDAY 9:50 A.M. AUGUST 21, 2017 <br /> <br />Board members present: Chairman Paul Jewell; Commissioner Obie <br />O’Brien & Vice-Chairman Laura Osiadacz. <br /> <br />Others: Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board II; Jill Scheffer, <br />Event Center Director. <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING DEPARTMENT HEAD EVENT CENTER <br /> <br />Jill Scheffer, Event Center Director reviewed the walk through of <br />the Rodeo Area that she Commissioner Jewell, members of the Rodeo <br />Board and other County Staff participated in last week. <br /> <br />She indicated that the Gold Buckle Club will have the carpet <br />replaced and the expense will be docked from the 2018 rent. <br /> <br />The Board authorized Ms. Scheffer to bring forward a Budget <br />Amendment to get the roof on the Gold Buckle Club fixed <br />(approximately $13,000.00). <br /> <br />She also indicated that the Calf Shoot is coming from Texas and will <br />be used for the Ellensburg Rodeo exclusively. They will take it out <br />when their event is not going on. She stated the same plan will <br />happen with the bucking shoots. She stated that the equipment <br />purchased by the Ellensburg Rodeo Board (ERB) will be installed and <br />uninstalled by ERB Members. <br /> <br />She stated that they will be working on doing a before and after <br />checklist to go through after events and that will allow them to <br />narrow down where the damage is happening and by who. <br /> <br />Chairman Jewell stated that there will be approximately $10,000.00 - <br />$11,000.00 dollars off of the ERB’s rent in 2018 for all the work <br />and repairs they are doing this year. <br /> <br />Meeting adjourned at 9:50 a.m. <br /> <br /> <br />KITTITAS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />DEPUTY CLERK OF THE BOARD KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br /> <br /> <br />
