06/26/2017 MINUTES 1 <br /> COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />COMMISSIONERS CONFERENCE ROOM <br />REGULAR MEETING <br /> <br />MONDAY 9:40 A.M. JUNE 26, 2017 <br /> <br />Board members present: Chairman Paul Jewell; Vice-Chairman Laura <br />Osiadacz & Commissioner Obie O’Brien. <br /> <br />Others: Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board II; Lisa Young, HR <br />Director; Christine Luvera, Lower Dist. Court Judicial <br />Administrator; Judge James Hurson. <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING DEPARTMENT HEAD LOWER DIST. COURT <br /> <br />Judge James Hurson stated that Christine Luvera, Lower Dist. Court <br />Judicial Administrator has given a tentative resignation and they <br />have offered the position in-house to Barb Demory, Legal Process <br />Assistant III. He explained that Ms. Luvera is going to stay on <br />until her home sells and then will be moving to join her husband. <br />Judge Hurson requested the Board allow them to pay Ms. Demory the <br />Judicial Administrator salary while being trained which would be an <br />additional cost of $1,474.00 in addition to Ms. Demory’s current <br />salary. He stated they have a savings of $4,308.00 in savings from a <br />Legal Processing Assistant leaving and not having filled it. He <br />stated that they will be paying Ms. Luvera out for 173 vacation <br />however there will be savings with Ms. Demory coming in at a lower <br />pay than what Ms. Luvera is leaving the scale at which ultimately <br />will have a savings of $979.00.
