COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />BOCC CONFERENCE ROOM <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />TUESDAY 10:00 AM DECEMBER 8, 2015 <br />Board members present: Gary Berndt, Obie O’Brien, Paul Jewell <br /> <br />Others: Lisa Young, Mark Cook, Patti Johnson; Member of the <br />Public: Urban Eberhart <br />REGULAR MEETING COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />1) Call to Order – 10:08 AM <br /> <br />2) Public Works Staffing – Director Cook was present to share <br />potential funding options for a Water Resource Manager. He <br />also updated the Board regarding the departure of the <br />Planner III and the Transportation Manager vacancy. The <br />Board asked him to bring back a funding model. <br /> <br />3) Maintenance Staffing – Director Johnson reported that she <br />is working with HR on a job description that would combine <br />the duties of Solid Waste Director and Maintenance <br />Director. The Board asked that she bring a recommendation <br />to the next HR Study Session for approval. The Board also <br />asked that she work with the Sheriff’s Office and HR on a <br />maintenance job description that would primarily perform <br />work in the jail, along with potential funding options, and <br />to bring recommendations to a future HR Study Session. <br /> <br />4) Other business – Mr. Eberhart was present to speak to the <br />Board about the Silica Road bridge. He expressed concerns <br />regarding removal of the bridge and lack of access for <br />emergency vehicles. The Board asked that he speak with <br />Public Works Director Cook to resolve his concerns. <br /> <br />5) Adjourn - 10:58 AM <br /> <br />
