DECEMBER 5, 2016 <br /> <br />Board members present: Chairman Obie O’Brien; Vice-Chairman Paul <br />Jewell; and Commissioner Laura Osiadacz. <br /> <br />Others: Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board; Jim Goeben, Information <br />Technology Director; Mark Cook, Public Works Director; Kathy <br />Jurgens, Finance System Manager; Marsha Weyand, Assessor; Cindy <br />Adams, Administrative Assistant; Josh Hink, Interim Fire Marshal; <br />Lisa Young, Human Resource Director; Sue Higginbotham, <br />Administrative Assistant; Brett Wachsmith, Treasurer; Gene Dana, <br />Sheriff; Judy Pless, Budget & Finance Manager; Dan Carlson, CDS <br />Director; Jerry Pettit, Auditor; Robin Read, Public Health <br />Administrator; Kaitlyn Reddick, Fiscal Analyst; Christine Luvera, <br />Lower District Court Administrator; Nick Henderson, Coroner; Patti <br />Johnson, Solid Waste Director/Maintenance Director/Project Manager; <br />Andrew Drain, Application Development Manager; and 1 member of the <br />public. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING 2017 COUNTY BUDGET AUDITOR <br /> <br />At 2:00 p.m. CHAIRMAN O’BRIEN opened a Public Hearing to consider <br />setting the Property Tax Levy for General Levy (General Fund, <br />Community Services, and Veterans); County Road, and County Flood, <br />and to consider of adoption of the 2017 Preliminary County Budget. <br /> <br />JUDY PLESS, BUDGET & FINANCE MANAGER reviewed the proposed budget <br />for 2017 and draft Resolutions for the Board’s consideration. She <br />said the General Fund is balanced including the proposed cuts that <br />were made by various departments. It was noted the Board asked that <br />the $218,000.00 estimated revenue for Admissions Tax collections <br />will all go to the Public Health Department. <br /> <br />THERE BEING NO ONE REQUESTING TO TESTIFY, THE PUBLIC PORTION OF THE <br />HEARING WAS CLOSED. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 2016-149 GENERAL TAX LEVY AUDITOR <br /> <br />COMMISSIONER JEWELL moved to approve Resolution No. 2016-149, <br />Levying Taxes for the General Tax Levy for Municipal Purposes of <br />Kittitas County, Washington for the Year 2017 According to the <br />Assessed Valuation as Determined in the Year 2016. COMMISSIONER <br />OSIADACZ seconded. Motion carried 3-0. <br /> <br />
