2/22/2016 MINUTES 1 <br /> COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />COMMISSIONERS CONFERENCE ROOM <br />REGULAR MEETING <br /> <br />MONDAY 10:00 A.M. FEBRUARY 22, 2016 <br /> <br />Board members present: Vice-Chairman Paul Jewell & Commissioner Gary <br />Berndt. Absent: Chairman Obie O’Brien. <br /> <br />Others: Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board; Mickey Webb, <br />Event Center Director; Tip Hudson, WSU Extension; Lisa Young, HR <br />Director & Patti Johnson, Solid Waste/Maintenance Director/Project <br />Manager. <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING DEPARTMENT HEAD WSU EXTENSION <br /> <br />Mickey Webb, Event Center Director explained that he and Tip <br />Hudson’s Office Managers are having back issues and other issues due <br />to their desks and the height they are. Lisa Young, HR Director <br />stated that it’s a problem she has been aware of since she was the <br />Co - Interim Event Center Director. She stated that they were not <br />built for 8 hour a day sitting jobs. There was discussion on how <br />perhaps the architect’s plans were not installed correctly. Mickey <br />Webb, Event Center Director presented two proposals as solutions. <br />Option #1 costing $1,840.00 dollars and option #2 costing $1,350.00 <br />dollars. He stated that option #1 is preferred as it will correct <br />all issues with the desks. <br /> <br />The Board expressed their frustrations regarding the on-going issues <br />with the Armory.
