02/02/2016 MINUTES 1 <br />COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />COMMISSIONERS AUDITORIUM <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br /> <br />TUESDAY 2:00 P.M. FEBRUARY 2, 2016 <br /> <br />Board members present: Chairman Obie O’Brien; Vice-Chairman Paul <br />Jewell and Commissioner Gary Berndt. <br /> <br />Others: Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board; Mickey Webb, <br />Event Center Director; Kathy Jurgens, Finance System Manager. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING COUNTY FAIR FEES COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />At 2:00 p.m. CHAIRMAN O’BRIEN opened a Public Hearing to consider <br />proposals to certain rate increases at the County Event Center. <br /> <br />MICKEY WEBB, EVENT CENTER DIRECTOR provided a Staff Report. He <br />stated that on behalf of the Kittitas County Fair Board Budget <br />Committee he has brought forward recommendations to increase certain <br />rates effective for the 2016 Annual County Fair. He explained that <br />in their proposal is to also create an Active Duty Military rate and <br />5 day season parking pass rate. He explained that the increases are <br />to offset increases in expense for the Fair and proposed discounts <br />as well, as it would set percentages for certain discounted rates. <br />He reviewed the additional proposed changes and stated that the last <br />increase was done in 2014. He stated that the projected revenue <br />increase impact would be between $15,000.00 to $20,000.00. <br /> <br />THERE BEING NO ONE REQUESTING TO TESTIFY, THE PUBLIC PORTION OF THE <br />HEARING WAS CLOSED. <br /> <br />COMMISSIONER JEWELL moved to approve the proposed 2016 Kittitas <br />County Fair rates as presented and direct Staff to prepare enabling <br />documents to be on the February 16, 2016 Commissioners Agenda at <br />10:00 a.m. in the Commissioners Auditorium. COMMISSIONER BERNDT <br />seconded. Motion carried 3-0. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING SURPLUS E.R.& R. # 710 COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />At 2:10 p.m. CHAIRMAN O’BRIEN opened a Public Hearing to consider <br />surplusing E.R.& R. #710 a 2008 Konica Minolta Bizhub C550 Serial <br />No. A00J010006644. <br /> <br />KATHY JURGENS, FINANCE SYSTEM MANAGER reviewed a Staff Report and <br />explained that Public Works is requesting authorization to dispose <br />of E.R.& R #710. She stated that the equipment has been replaced <br />with newer units as authorized in the 2015 E.R.& R. Fund budget. She
