05/06/2019 MINUTES 1 <br />COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON COMMISSIONERS CONFERENCE ROOM SPECIAL MEETING <br /> MONDAY 3:00 P.M. MAY 6, 2019 <br />Board members present: Chairman Cory Wright; Vice-Chairman Brett <br />Wachsmith and Commissioner Laura Osiadacz. <br /> <br />Others: Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board and Michelle Capp, Forest <br />Service District Ranger. <br /> SPECIAL MEETING FOREST SERVICE UPDATE COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />At 3:00 p.m. Chairman Wright opened a Special Meeting with Michelle <br />Capp, Forest Service District Ranger regarding Title 2 for Taneum, <br />Swauk and Mining issues. <br /> <br />Michelle Capp, Forest Service District Ranger reviewed her duties <br />and responsibilities and wanted the Board to know she is available <br />to address any specific issues they may have or anything that might <br />be on their radar. She said she’s looking forward to maintaining a <br />good relationship between the Forest Service and Kittitas County. <br /> <br />She provided information on various projects and the unique <br />challenges that they will be facing in the future including the lack <br />of funding from resources; how to manage landscape and working <br />together from a recreation standpoint. She reviewed current projects <br />they are working on including roads and Fire Adaptive Communities. <br /> <br />Commissioner Osiadacz said if there was anything the Forest Service <br />wanted to get out to the public on social media to let the <br />Commissioner’s office know and they could put it on their Facebook <br />page. <br /> <br />The meeting was adjourned 3:45 p.m. <br /> KITTITAS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS CLERK OF THE BOARD KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br /> Julie Kjorsvik Cory Wright, Chairman <br />
