2019‐05‐29 Minutes  1  Information Technology  <br />Commissioners’ Minutes  <br />Kittitas County, Washington  <br />Commissioners’ Conference Room  <br />Special Meeting  <br />  <br />Monday  11:00 AM  May 29, 2019  <br />  <br />Board members present: Chair Cory Wright, and Vice‐Chair Brett Wachsmith  <br />Board members absent: Commissioner Laura Osiadacz  <br />  <br />Others: IT Director Jim Goeben, Operations Commander Darren Higashiyama  <br />   <br />Special Meeting    Information Technology  <br />Meeting called to order at 11:00 AM.  <br />   <br />Request for budget amendment for security video storage  <br />There was discussion of the history and current state of security video storage. Mr. Goeben presented a  <br />budge amendment for $32,223.57 to purchase data storage necessary to capture and store future  <br />increased volumes of security camera video. The board approved the amendment to the IT budget.  <br />   <br />Consider use of NetSupport Notify for IT outage notifications  <br />Mr. Goeben relayed to the board the Security Committee concerns about diluting emergency  <br />notifications by including network outages and offered the option to change IT procedures to send  <br />advanced email notifications that include calendar invitations for the outage time, and a day‐before  <br />reminder email. The board approved the procedure changes and rescinded its 1/28/2019 direction to IT  <br />to use NetSupport Notify for network outages.  <br />   <br />Request signature on Noel Communications service order  <br />Mr. Goeben requested the chairman’s signature on a Noel Communications service order for a 100Mbp  <br />Ethernet connection for $99/mo. The board approved the request and the chairman signed the order.  <br />   <br />Meeting adjourned at 11:40 AM.  <br />  Kittitas County Commissioners  <br />Information Technology Director  Kittitas County, Washington  <br />  <br />  <br /> _______________________________________    _______________________________________    <br />Jim Goeben, IT Director  Cory Wright, Chair
