07/09/2019 MINUTES 1 <br />COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />COMMISSIONERS CONFERENCE ROOM <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br /> <br />TUESDAY 4:00 P.M. JULY 09, 2019 <br /> <br />Board members present: Chairman Cory Wright; Vice-Chairman Brett <br />Wachsmith. Absent: Commissioner Laura Osiadacz. <br /> <br />Others: Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board II; Ken Harper, <br />Kittitas County Special Deputy Prosecuting Attorney; Lisa Young, HR <br />Director. By Phone: Lynda Bishop, WCRP. <br /> <br />SPECIAL MEETING EXECUTIVE SESSION COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />At 4:04 p.m. Chairman Wright opened a Special Meeting and announced <br />the Board would recess into Executive Session for 20 minutes to <br />discuss with legal counsel representing the agency matters relating <br />to agency enforcement actions, or to discuss with legal counsel <br />representing the agency litigation or potential litigation to which <br />the agency, the governing body, or a member acting in an official <br />capacity is, or is likely to become, a party, when public knowledge <br />regarding the discussion is likely to result in an adverse legal or <br />financial consequence to the agency. Potential action anticipated. <br /> <br />At 4:24 p.m. the Board reconvened from Executive Session. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 2019-117 KITTITAS CO.CAUSE NO.16-2-00095-1 COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Commissioner Wachsmith moved to approve and authorize Board <br />signature on Resolution 2019-117, Determining that Kittitas County <br />Shall Defend and Pay the Necessary Expenses of Defending Paul <br />Jewell, Obie O'Brien, and Laura Osiadacz against the Claims Filed by <br />Deanna Jo Panattoni as Amended Counterclaims in an Action Pending in <br />the Superior Court of Washington in and for Kittitas County, Cause <br />No. 16-2-00095-1, as presented. Chairman Wright seconded.
