2019-08-28 MINUTES 1 <br />COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />COMMISSIONER’S CONFERENCE ROOM <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br /> <br />WEDNESDAY 9:00 A.M. AUGUST 28, 2019 <br /> <br />Board members present: Chairman Cory Wright, Vice-Chairman Brett <br />Wachsmith and Commissioner Laura Osiadacz. <br /> <br />Others: Taylor Crouch, Deputy Clerk of the Board I, and 1 member of <br />the public <br /> <br />SPECIAL MEETING 2020 LEGISLATIVE PRIORITIES COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />At 9:02 a.m. Chairman Wright opened a Special Meeting to discuss <br />Board Legislative Priorities for 2020. <br /> <br />Chairman Wright asked about the current County priorities. <br />Commissioner Osiadacz reviewed the priorities listed by Washington <br />State Association of Counties (WSAC). Those priorities were funding <br />for trial court public defense, foundational public health services, <br />fish passage barrier removal, and opposing unfunded mandates. All <br />Commissioners agreed that they would uphold those priorities. <br /> <br />Local level priorities discussed included the Bloom Pavilion <br />project, the on-going I-90 project, and the on-going Bower’s Field <br />project. <br /> <br />Chairman Wright suggested including Mark Cook, Public Works <br />Director, to be invited to the next Legislative Priority meeting to <br />discuss other project ideas. <br /> <br />Commissioner Osiadacz will draft a priority ask list to send to Bill <br />Clarke, Kittitas County Lobbyist. <br /> <br /> <br />Meeting adjourned at 9:39 a.m. <br /> <br />KITTITAS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />DEPUTY CLERK OF THE BOARD I KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Taylor Crouch Cory Wright, Chairman <br />
