2019-08-28 MINUTES 1 <br />COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON COMMISSIONERS AUDITORIUM SPECIAL MEETING <br /> WEDNESDAY 11:00 A.M. AUGUST 28, 2019 <br />Board members present: Chairman Cory Wright; Vice-Chairman Brett <br />Wachsmith and Commissioner Laura Osiadacz. <br /> <br />Others: Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board; Mark Cook, Public <br />Works Director/Interim Engineer; Tristen Lamb, Public Health <br />Administrator; Erin Moore, Water Resources Program Coordinator; <br />Arden Thomas, Water Resources Manager; Neil Caulkins, Deputy <br />Prosecutor; Lindsey Ozbolt, Planning Official and 4 members of <br />the public. SPECIAL MEETING DEPT. OF ECOLOGY COMMISSIONERS <br />At 11:00 a.m. Chairman Wright opened a Special Meeting to <br />receive a presentation on the Kittitas County Water Resource <br />Program. <br /> <br />Arden Thomas, Water Resources Manager gave a power-point <br />presentation; provided a history of the Settlement Agreement <br />dating back to 2014, and how they’ve been making good progress <br />on it. <br /> <br />Phil Rigdon, Yakima Nation Department of Natural Resources, <br />explained the history of the agreement, implementation, and <br />future of it. He said the commitment that’s been made from <br />Kittitas County over the past few years is extremely valued. Due <br />to those relationships being maintained and everyone stepping up <br />and participating in the process it has become the success that <br />it is. Sage Park, Department of Ecology provided information on <br />the foundational concepts. Neil Caulkins, Deputy Prosecutor <br />reviewed the Growth Management Act Appeal and Aqua Permanente <br />Petition. Erin Moore, Water Resources Program Coordinator said <br />she’d be available to present additional information at a later <br />date on the work that’s gone on in order to have a successful <br />program. <br /> <br />The Board thanked everyone for attending the meeting and <br />providing information to them on the history of the Water <br />Resource Program. <br /> <br />
