NOVEMBER 5, 2019 <br />Board members present: Chairman Cory Wright; Vice-Chairman Brett <br />Wachsmith; and Commissioner Laura Osiadacz. <br /> <br />Others: Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board; Mark Cook, Public Works <br />Director/Interim Engineer; Clay Myers, Sheriff; Patti Johnson, Solid <br />Waste Director/Project Manager; Kylie Romero, Patrol Officer; Lindsey <br />Ozbolt, Planning Official; Andrea Blume, Patrol Officer; Brett Severson, <br />Patrol Officer; Greg Zempel, Prosecutor; Sharrie McPherson, Fiscal <br />Clerk; Greg Banister, Patrol Officer; Kim Dawson, Administrative <br />Assistant; and 4 members of the public. <br /> CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chairman Wright called the meeting to order. <br /> PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE <br /> <br />Chairman Wright led the Pledge of Allegiance. <br /> INTRODUCTION OF NEW COUNTY EMPLOYEES – NONE PROCLAMATIONS PROCLAMATION FLOOD AWARENESS MONTH PUBLIC WORKS <br />Commissioner Wachsmith moved to approve a Proclamation declaring <br />November 2019 as Flood Awareness Month in Kittitas County and to <br />encourage all residents living, working or traveling through flood-prone <br />areas to join us in developing a flood preparedness plan for themselves <br />and their families. Commissioner Osiadacz seconded. Motion carried 3- <br />0. AWARDS & RECOGNITIONS <br />The Kittitas County Board of Commissioners presented a plaque to <br />recently retired Kittitas County Sheriff Gene Dana, in appreciation to <br />his hard work, dedication and service to the citizens from January 1, <br />1999 through October 31, 2019.
