12/03/2019 MINUTES 1 COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON COMMISSIONERS AUDITORIUM SPECIAL MEETING TUESDAY 3:00 P.M. DECEMBER 3, 2019 Board members present: Chairman Cory Wright; Vice-Chairman Brett Wachsmith; and Commissioner Laura Osiadacz. Others: Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board; Judy Pless, Budget & Finance Manager; Todd Davis, Noxious Weed Coordinator; Lisa Young, Human Resource Director; Heather Seibert, Finance Officer; Amy Cziski, Treasurer; Pat Gigstead, Chief Probation Officer; Neil Caulkins, Deputy Prosecutor; and Sharrie McPherson, Fiscal Tech. PUBLIC HEARING 2020 BUDGET COMMISSIONERS At 3:00 p.m. CHAIRMAN WRIGHT opened a Public Hearing continued from December 2, 2019 to consider adoption of the 2020 budget. MARK COOK, PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR/INTERIM ENGINEER provided an overview of their proposed 2020 budget which included the following funds: Airport, Road, Flood, Public Facilities, Parks, and ER&R. TODD DAVIS, NOXIOUS WEED COORDINATOR provided an overview of their proposed 2020 budget. PAT GIGSTEAD, CHIEF PROBATION OFFICER provided an overview of their proposed 2020 budget. The Board noted they were in favor of a half time position in CDS to assist with Code Enforcement and the proposed increase to overtime in the budget for the Auditor’s office. THERE WAS NO ONE REQUESTING TO TESTIFY AND THE RECORD WAS KEPT OPEN TO PUBLIC TESTIMONY. COMMISSIONER WACHSMITH moved to continue the Public Hearing to Friday December 6, 2019 at 9:30 a.m. in the Commissioners Auditorium, noting the record was open. COMMISSIONER OSIADACZ seconded. Motion carried 3-0.
