12/02/2019 MINUTES 1 <br />COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON COMMISSIONERS AUDITORIUM SPECIAL MEETING <br /> MONDAY 2:00 P.M. DECEMBER 2, 2019 <br />Board members present: Chairman Cory Wright; Vice-Chairman Brett <br />Wachsmith; and Commissioner Laura Osiadacz. <br /> <br />Others: Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board; Heather Seibert, Finance <br />Officer; Jerry Pettit, Auditor; Dan Carlson, CDS Director; Steve <br />Panattoni, Corrections Commander; Darren Higashiyama, Operations <br />Commander; Sharrie McPherson, Fiscal Clerk; Judy Pless, Budget & <br />Finance Manager; and Amy Cziski, Treasurer; Ben Kokjer, Operations <br />Commander. <br /> PUBLIC HEARING 2020 BUDGET COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />At 2:00 p.m. CHAIRMAN WRIGHT opened a Public Hearing to consider <br />adoption of the 2020 budget. <br /> JUDY PLESS, BUDGET & FINANCE MANAGER reviewed a balanced budget to <br />the Board of County Commissioners. She also reviewed several <br />projects that had been taken out of the proposed budget which had <br />been submitted by various Departments, along with some new <br />positions. It was noted that the proposed budget did not include <br />results of the recent wage survey. <br /> <br />There was discussion on proposed positions from Departments and <br />which ones to keep or remove. CHAIRMAN WRIGHT said he was not in <br />favor of funding any capital projects until the wage survey has been <br />looked at into further detail. <br /> THERE WAS NO ONE IN ATTENDANCE REQUESTING TO TESTIFY AND THE RECORD REMAINED OPENED. COMMISSIONER WACHSMITH moved to continue the Public Hearing until <br />Tuesday December 3, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. in the Commissioners <br />Auditorium for further review of the proposed 2020 budget, noting <br />the record was to remain open. COMMISSIONER OSIADACZ seconded. <br />Motion carried 3-0. <br /> <br />The meeting was adjourned at 2:42 p.m. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
