02/03/2020 MINUTES 1 <br /> <br />COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />COMMISSIONERS CONFERENCE ROOM <br />REGULAR MEETING <br /> <br />MONDAY 9:50 A.M. FEBRUARY 3, 2020 <br /> <br />Board members present: Commissioner Laura Osiadacz Commissioner <br />Cory Wright. Absent: Commissioner Brett Wachsmith. <br /> <br />Others: Mandy Buchholz, Deputy Clerk of the Board II; Dan Carlson, <br />CDS Director. <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING DEPARTMENT HEAD CDS <br /> <br />Dan Carlson, CDS Director presented/reviewed information and <br />requested that the Board consider increasing his already approved PT <br />Code Enforcement Tech to an FTE. He stated that there is no budget <br />impact for 2020. <br /> <br />Commissioner Osiadacz expressed concerns for bringing on Staff with <br />one-time savings. She stated that there is concern for another <br />recession and she doesn’t want to lay off employees because they <br />were hired with no plan for the future on how to fund them. <br /> <br />Commissioner Wright stated he was in support of funding the <br />position. <br /> <br />Commissioner Osiadacz asked that she have additional time to think <br />about it and have Director Carlson bring it forward for a full BoCC <br />discussion.
