KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: April 7, 2020 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Resolution to select Baer Testing and <br />GeoProfessional Innovation for Professional Material <br />Testing and Related Engineering Services Contracts <br />supporting Public Works for up to a Three -Year Period and <br />Authorize the Public Works Director to execute said <br />Contracts. <br />BACKGROUND: PW relays on material testing companies in the absence of <br />County testing facilities. On 01/21/2020; the Department <br />requested and received permission from the Board to solicit <br />for professional services (consistent with state law and <br />County policy). Responders provided qualifications for <br />review on 02/13/2020. Staff has completed review of <br />responder information and recommends the selection of <br />Baer Testing and GeoProfessional Innovation for standard <br />professional contracts. The contracts are in place for a two- <br />year base period with a third potential year if mutually <br />agreed upon. <br />INTERACTION: Public Works. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Approve a Resolution to select Baer Testing and <br />GeoProfessional Innovation for Professional Material <br />Testing and Related Engineering Services Contracts <br />supporting Public Works for up to a Three -Year Period and <br />Authorize the Public Works Director to execute said <br />Contracts. <br />HANDLING: Return one original to Public Works. <br />ATTACHMENTS: Resolution. <br />LEAD STAFF: Mark R.
