KITTITAS VALLEY EVENT CENTER <br />Home of the Kittitas County Fair and Ellensburg Rodeo <br />901 E. 7th Ave, Suite 1, Ellensburg, WA 98926 <br />EventCenter@co.kittitas.wa.us <br />Office (509) 962-7639 <br />Fax (509) 962-7010 <br /> <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: March 3, 2020 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Resolution to Authorize Kittitas Valley Event <br />Center Facility Fee Waivers for Kittitas County 4-H <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: KVEC has an interest in providing the facilities for the activities and <br />events produced by Kittitas County 4-H Program as it holds a significant <br />benefit to enhancing the leadership and development of our local youth. <br />Those enhancements in turn directly impact and better the experiences of <br />the annual Kittitas County Fair while also elevating the amount of youth <br />participation. <br /> <br />These waivers and discounts of fees are pre-negotiated and agreed upon <br />in a facility use contract with WSU Extension and approved by the <br />Kittitas Valley Event Center Director. This is a long-standing agreement <br />that we want to see bound by resolution.
