<br /> <br />Public Notice <br />Kittitas County, Ellensburg WA <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Public Notice – Posted February 18th, 2020 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />  <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />NOTICE OF FUNDS AVAILABILITY (NOFA) <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />for <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />RAPID REHOUSING VOUCHERS <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />  <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Homelessness and Affordable Housing Funding <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />The Kittitas County Homelessness and Affordable Housing Committee is seeking grant applications to address local homelessness and affordable housing priorities utilizing ESS House Bill <br />2163 funds combined with Substitute House Bill 2060 funds. The County of Kittitas Homeless and Affordable Housing Committee is soliciting applications to address the issues presented <br />by homelessness and affordable housing in Kittitas County and the Strategic Objectives outlined under Objective 4 of the Kittitas County Homeless and Affordable Housing Plan updated <br />in December 2019.  <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />The Kittitas County Homeless and Affordable Housing Committee analyzed the needs of people experiencing homelessness in Kittitas County by reviewing the Homeless Point in Time count <br />data, Homeless Management Information System data, results from a survey of community members and housing providers, a survey of people experiencing homelessness, and meetings with elected <br />officials. The goal in Kittitas County now is to make homelessness rare, brief, and a one-time event. Until the underlying social issues that lead people to become homeless are addressed, <br />The Plan is to prevent homelessness whenever possible and help people quickly regain stable housing and overcome their barriers to sustaining that housing. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Actions outlined in the Strategic Objectives Matrices Section of the plan are intended to address homelessness by promoting a continuum of housing and support services that augment individual <br />and family stability, resiliency, and economic independence. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />  <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Eligibility: Eligible applicants consist of local nonprofit housing providers and nonprofit organizations, State and local governments, instrumentalities of local governments, and public <br />housing agencies.  Priority is given to applicants who propose to target services to individuals who are chronically homeless, literally homeless or at risk of homelessness, seniors <br />or disabled as well as those with prior experience delivering services to the target population.  <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Length of Awards:  Grant awards will be made for a period of two (2) years, pending funding availability and the center’s satisfactory implementation of the proposed program.  Capital <br />programs will be funded as a onetime reimbursement for funds expended in accordance with grant requirements. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Available Funding for Awards:  The amount available for this award period is approximately $130,000 annually. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Anticipated Number of Awards:  It is anticipated that Kittitas County HAHC will have funding available for approximately 1 to 2 new awards.  <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Grant Applications: Grant Applications will be released on Thursday, February 20, 2020 and the deadline for submission is Thursday, March 5th, 2020 at 4:00 p.m. The NOFA will be available <br />on Kittitas County website, <br />http://www.co.kittitas.wa.us/www.co.kittitas.wa.us and/or by contacting the clerk for the Homeless and Affordable Housing Committee, Taylor Crouch at (509) 962-5708 <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />  <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />For additional information regarding this competition, please contact Taylor Crouch Clerk for the Homeless and Affordable Housing Committee via email at taylor.crouch@co.kittitas.wa.us <br /> <br /> <br /> More information is online at http://www.co.kittitas.wa.us/notices/.
