KITTITAS COUNTY <br />SHERIFF'S OFFICE <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: Tuesday, January 7, 2020 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve Resolution Authorizing Execution of an <br />Interlocal Agreement between Kittitas County Sheriff's Office and Department of <br />Natural Resources <br />BACKGROUND: The purpose of this Agreement is to specially commission DNR <br />limited authority law enforcement officers in Kittitas County in compliance with the <br />requirements of the Washington Mutual Aid Peace Officers Powers Act (chapter 10.93 <br />RCW) and the Interlocal Cooperation Act, (chapter 39.34 RCW). <br />INTERACTION: This Agreement was reviewed and approved by the Kittitas County <br />Prosecutor's Office. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Request to Approve Resolution Authorizing Execution of an <br />Interlocal Agreement between Kittitas County Sheriff's Office and Department of <br />Natural Resources <br />HANDLING: Return one signed Resolution to the Sheriff s Office. Sheriff s Office <br />will provide one signed agreement upon receiving signature from DNR. <br />LEAD STAFF: Sheriff's Office command staff. <br />
