KITTITAS COUNTY <br />SHERIFF'S OFFICE <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: December 3, 2019 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Resolution Authorizing Execution of an <br />Interlocal Agreement (MOU) between Washington Traffic Safety Commission and the <br />Kittitas County Sheriff's Office. <br />BACKGROUND: The Washington Traffic Safety Commission (WTSC) supports the <br />Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) program by providing funds for overtime work to <br />perform drug evaluation activities of registered DREs. The WTSC has agreed to fund <br />overtime for DREs who enter this partnership by virtue of a Memorandum of <br />Understanding for the period of July 1, 2019 through June 30, 2021. <br />INTERACTION: This Interlocal Agreement/Memorandum of Understanding was <br />reviewed and approved by the Kittitas County Prosecutor's Office. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Request to Approve a Resolution Authorizing Execution of an <br />Interlocal Agreement (MOU) between Washington Traffic Safety Commission and the <br />Kittitas County Sheriffs Office. <br />HANDLING: Please send one fully executed original back to the Kittitas County <br />Sheriff s Office, which will forward it to the grantor. <br />LEAD STAFF: Command staff <br />
