KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: November 19, 2019 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to set a Public Hearing to consider <br />amending KCC 10.06.050 and 10.07.060 (Towing <br />and impounding vehicles violating parking <br />restrictions). <br />BACKGROUND: Kittitas County Department of Public Works has <br />continued operational issues due to illegal parking <br />in the Hyak Estates area. Staff has worked with the <br />Prosecuting Attorney's office on the proposed code <br />amendment and is requesting to set a Public <br />Hearing to consider establishing a parking fine. <br />INTERACTION: <br />Public Works <br />RECOMMENDATION: Set a Public Hearing for December 3, 2019 at 2:00 <br />pm to consider amending KCC 10.06.050 and <br />10.07.060 "Towing and impounding vehicles <br />violating parking restrictions". <br />HANDLING: Return one Notice of Public Hearing to Public <br />Works <br />ATTACHMENTS: Notice of Public Hearing <br />LEAD STAFF: Mark Cook, Director <br />
