Ruby St., Suite 2, Ellensburg, WA 98926 <br />CDS@CO.KITTITAS.WA.US <br />Office (509) 962-7506 <br />Fax (509) 962-7682 <br /> <br />“Building Partnerships – Building Communities” <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: October 15, 2019 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Set Public Hearing for 2019 Annual Docket Amendments to <br />Kittitas County Comprehensive Plan and County Code <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: CDS staff is requesting to set a public hearing on November 12th at 6:00pm in the <br />BOCC Auditorium for consideration of proposed amendments to Kittitas County <br />Comprehensive Plan and County Code through the annual “Docket” process. The <br />County accepted citizen amendment requests through June 30, 2019 (June 28th was <br />the last business day) for consideration by the Kittitas County Planning Commission <br />and the Kittitas County Board of County Commissioners. The amendments must be <br />consistent with the Growth Management Act and other applicable state laws, <br />applicable countywide planning policies, and the goals, policies, and objectives of the <br />Comprehensive Plan. <br /> <br /> The Kittitas County Planning Commission was scheduled to conduct a public hearing <br />on October 8, 2019 to consider the changes however due to a lack of quorum the <br />meeting was unable to be held. A special meeting is now scheduled to consider the <br />changes at a public hearing on October 29, 2019. A staff report containing staff <br />recommendations and the Planning Commission recommendations along with the <br />docket items will be provided prior to the public hearing.
