BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2019-I I 3 <br />TO AW ARD THE CONTRACT FOR <br />THE BIG BOULDER CREEK BRIDGE REPLACEMENT PROJECT <br />(PROJECT NO. RC1595/CRP NO. 296-18) <br />AND AUTHORIZE THE PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR TO EXECUTE SAME <br />WHEREAS: The Department of Public Works solicited bids for the Big Boulder Creek <br />Bridge Replacement Project (Project No. RC1595/CRP No. 296-18) <br />contract in accordance with RCW 36.77.020 Contract Procedures; and <br />WHEREAS: Sealed bids were opened on June 27, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. in the Kittitas <br />County Permit Center, Department of Public Works, 411 N. Ruby Street, <br />Suite 1, Ellensburg, Washington; and <br />WHEREAS: Three (3) bids were received for the prescribed work. The Director of <br />Public Works recommends the lowest responsive bid be accepted; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in <br />the best interest of the public, does hereby award the contract for the Big <br />Boulder Creek Bridge Replacement Project (Project No. RC1595/CRP No. <br />296-18) in the amount of $92,106 to Thayer Excavating. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Director for the Department of Public Works is <br />authorized to sign the contract documents for said project. <br />DATED on this 2nd day of July, 2019, at Ellensburg, Washington. <br />D Deputy Clerk of the Board-Mandy Buchholz
