KITTITAS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: July 2, 2019 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Special Event Application authorizing <br />Scott & Jo Repp to hold the WestStar Team Roping Series. <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: The Commissioners office received a Special Event <br />application from Scott & Jo Repp requesting permission to <br />host the WestStar Team Roping Series on the following <br />days: May 18; June 1, 22; July 13, 27; August 10, 16-17, 28; <br />September 14, 2019. (Noon – 6:00 p.m.). <br /> <br />INTERACTION: The applicant is requesting a waiver to Kittitas County Code <br />Chapter 5.20.100 – Penal Bond – Bond of Indemnity. <br /> <br /> The applicant is not requesting a waiver to Kittitas County <br />Code Chapter 5.20.160 – Closing Hours. <br /> <br /> The permit fee has been paid and Staff has routed the <br />application and received a recommendation of approval or <br />contingent approval from the following departments: Sheriff, <br />Public Health, Public Works, Solid Waste, and Prosecutor <br />and Fire Marshal. (Specific comments may be seen in the <br />Department Memo’s attached). <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: Approve the Special Event Application from Scott & Jo <br />Repp to host the WestStar Team Roping Series on the <br />following days: May 18; June 1, 22; July 13, 27; August 10, <br />16-17, 28; September 14, 2019. With the following <br />contingencies: <br /> <br />Fire Marshal: <br /> Approval conditioned upon the organizer contacting the Fire <br />Marshal’s Office 48 hours prior to the event for a fire and <br />life safety inspection of the location. <br /> <br /> <br />Public Health <br /> <br /> Please see memo attached (2 pages). <br />However all requirements have been met so long as <br />those agreed upon terms from the 6/18/19 meeting <br />between Repp’s and KCPHD are followed through <br />with. <br /> <br />Public Works: <br />
