"2018 - <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING FUDING FOR GRANTS PURSUANT TO LAW <br />AND JUSTICE COUNCIL RECOMMENDATIONS ON SPENDING OF 1/ 0TH <br />OF I% SALES TAX RESERNTS <br />WHEREAS: The Kittitas County Law and Justice Council met at their regularly <br />scheduled meeting on August 15, 2018, and voted unanimously to aporove the below <br />described funding recommendations; and <br />WHER-EAS: These expendivIures shall be made from the 11f 10th of 1% sales tax reserve <br />account established by the Board of Countv Commissioners for spending on special <br />.1 W <br />projects to foster cooperation., sharing of resources and enhancement of criminal justice <br />projects within Kittitas Countv: and <br />WI <br />WHEREAS: Fundincr is to be made available January 1, '2019 upon approval of this <br />resolution; and <br />4 <br />WHER-EAS: The amount available for 2019 grants is approximatelv$40,000.00,- and g}= <br />WHEREAS,.-, Estimated balance in the grant funds is appro ximca e v $114,000.00 aft, <br />2018 Grant obligations and maintainincr $50,000.00 in reserve for the Rancre roect,and <br />WHEREAS.- The grants described below are recommended for approval. <br />NOW,, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED-.
