February 5, 2019 <br />Dear Teachers , <br />Kittitas County, Washington <br />BOARD oF CO UNTY COMMISSI ONERS <br />District One <br />Cory Wri ght <br />District Two <br />Laura Osiadacz <br />Di strict Three <br />Brett Wachsmith <br />Kittitas County will once again be celebrating "National County Government Month" in April. <br />To help recognize this event the Kittitas County Board of Commissioner 's office will be holding <br />th eir annual coloring/drawing contest which i s open to a ll elementary school children in grades <br />K-5. This year 's County theme is "Living Well in Kittitas Co unty". <br />The Kittitas County Board of Commissioners office will judge the entries that most represent <br />Kittitas County and theme. The Board of County Commissioners will award a pass to the 2019 <br />Kittitas County Fair over Labor Day weekend to three students from each class who participates! <br />The entries will be displayed throughout the Kittitas County Courthouse beginning April 1st <br />throu gh April 26 th . Towards the conclusion of National County Government Month our office <br />wi ll contact each school who participated in the contest to schedule a time for a Commissioner to <br />either come in to a teacher 's classroom or at an assembly to give a brief award presentation to <br />students. The Commissioners will return all entries to their schools at the time of the award <br />presentation . <br />Attached is a page that can be copied and distributed to each child in your class. Please be sure <br />to that the students first name , school , grade , and teacher is printed at the bottom prior to <br />returning them to our office . All entries must be returned to the Kittitas County Commissioner 's <br />office no later than Friday March 15, 2019 by 5 :00 p.m. at 205 West 5th -Room 108 <br />E llensburg , WA 98926.
