BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />CO UNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLU TION NO. 2019 -Oc96 <br />WAIVE FLOODPLAIN DEVELOPMENT PERMIT FEES FOR KITTITAS COUNTY <br />CONSERVATION DISTRICT FISH BARRIER REMOVAL AND FISH SCREEN <br />PROJECTS <br />WHEREAS: Kittitas County Code 14 .08 Flood Damage Prevention does not afford the <br />Director of Public Works the ability waiving Floodplain Development Permit <br />fees ; and <br />WHEREAS: The Kittitas County Conservation District (KCCD) routinely partners with the <br />Kittitas County Flood Control Zone District (KCFCZD) on fish habitat <br />enhancement projects ; and <br />WHEREAS: Fish recovery is a key objective of the Yakima Basin Integrated Plan ; and <br />WHEREAS: Fish barrier removal and fish screen projects are supported by both KCFCZD and <br />KCCD;and <br />WHEREAS: Waiving Floodplain Development Permit fees for fish barrier removal and screen <br />projects constructed b y KCCD provides additional funds towards improvement <br />construction ; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the <br />best interest of the public , does hereb y waive Floodplain Development Permits fees for KCCD <br />fish barrier removal and fish screen projects . <br />DATED this 5th day of February, 2019 , at Ellensburg , Washington. <br />D Deputy Cle rk of the Board-Mand y Buchhol z <br />BOARD OF CO UN TY COMMISSIONERS <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHIN G TON <br />ABSENT <br />Cory Wright, Chairman ' <br />~fil(k t) ~~--+=-------"-------
