BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />Resolution No. Jl) I q---o (} Lf <br />A Resolution Releasing Uncollectible Debt to the Solid Waste Fund <br />WHEREAS: It has come to the attenti on of the Bo ard of Co unty C ommissioners of <br />Kittitas Co unty, Washington, that the County Solid Waste Department has an <br />uncollectible debt in the amount of $10,448 .60 as shown o n Exhibit "A", attached hereto <br />and inc orp orated by reference, and <br />WHEREAS: The So lid Waste Department has made every reasonable dili gent effo rt to <br />collect sa id debt witho ut succe ss, and <br />WHEREAS: It is in the best interest of the County to de lete sai d bad d ebt fr om the <br />books of K itti tas County in order t o an accurat e meas ure o f the County's financial <br />position ; and <br />WHEREAS : T he Board of County Commissioners of K ittitas C ount y, Was hington is <br />authorized pursuant to RC W 36 .32.120(8) to release any debt due to the C ounty when th e <br />interest of the County will not be prejudiced thereby; and <br />WHEREAS: The Board of County Commissioners of Kittitas County, Washington has <br />determined that it is in the best interest of the County and that the County 's interest will <br />not be prejudiced by release of the debt listed in Exhibit 1 attached hereto ; <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the debt listed in Exhibit 1 attached <br />hereto in the amount of $10,448.60 is hereby declared to be bad debt and hereby released <br />pursuant to RCW 36 .32 .120(8) effective on the date of signing. <br />DATED this 5-th day of February, 2019. <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON
