INTERAGENCY AGREEMENT <br />BETWEEN THE <br />WASHINGTON TRAFFIC SAFETY COMMISSION <br />AND <br />Kittitas County Sheriffs Office <br />THIS AGREEMENT is made and entered into by and between the Washington Traffic Safety Commission,hereinafter referred to as "WTSC,"and Kittitas County Sheriffs Office ,hereinafter referred to as"SUB-RECIPIENT." <br />NOW THEREFORE,in consideration of the terms,conditions,covenants,and performance containedherein,or attached and incorporated and made a part hereof,the Parties mutually agree as follows: <br />L PURPOSE OF THE AGREEMENT <br />The purpose of this Agreement is to provide funding,provided by the United States Department ofTransportation(USDOT)National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA)and allowed under theAssistanceListingsCatalogofFederalDomesticAssistance(CFDA)numbers 20.600 and 20.616,for theSUB-RECIPIENT to participate in traffic safety grant project 2019-HVE-3249-REGION12 TARGET ZERO MANAGER,specifically to provide funding for the SUB-RECIPIENT to conduct overtime high-visibility enforcement(HVE)traffic safety emphasis patrols and related activities as outlined in the Statement of Work (SOW),insupportofTargetZeropriorities. <br />Grant 2019-HVE-3249-REGION 12 TARGET ZERO MANAGER was awarded to the Region 12 to support collaborativeeffortstoconductHVEactivities.By signing this agreement,the SUB-RECIPIENT is able to seekreimbursementforapprovedovertimeexpensesincurredasaparticipantintheregion's HVE grant. <br />The Target Zero Manager (TZM)and/or the Law Enforcement Liaison (LEL)shall coordinate the SOW withtheSUB-RECIPIENT with the goal of reducing traffic-related deaths and serious injuries. <br />2.PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE <br />The period of performance of this Agreement shall commence upon the date of execution by both Parties,butnotearlierthanOctober1,2018,and remain in effect until September 30,2019,unless terminated sooner,asprovidedherein. <br />3.STATEMENT OF WORK <br />Note:This statement of work applies only to HVE emphasis areas for which your agency has received HVEftmding.
