KITTITAS COUNTY <br />Board of County Commissioners <br /> <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: 2/15/2019 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to approve the Yakima River Public Access Plan <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: (Include information such as: were any prior public hearings held, study sessions, were you directed by the BOCC to prepare the document etc. – summarize, but include all <br />details) <br /> Beckwith Consulting began drafting the Yakima River Access Plan in late 2017. In February 2018, the Yakima River Citizens Advisory Committee was formed to provide guidance and insight <br />on the draft plan. The draft plan was presented to the Public Lands Advisory Committee in December 2018 for approval and motion was made to recommend the plan to the BOCC. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: (Include who was involved with the process, reviewed the document, etc.) <br /> Beckwith Consulting was hired to draft the plan. There was a committee of public citizens to give insight, overseen by the Public Lands Advisory Committee.
