KITTITAS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: January 15, 2019 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Approve a Memorandum of Agreement with the Evergreen <br />Forest County Group, A Rural Public Lands County <br />Council Affiliate. <br />BACKGROUND: Staff was previously directed by the Board of County <br />Commissioners to place the Memorandum of Agreement <br />between Robert K. Weidner and Kittitas County onto an <br />Agenda once the 2019 budget had been adopted. The <br />proposed Memorandum of Agreement is for Mr. Weidner <br />to serve as the Washington D.C. government relation's <br />advisor to Kittitas County and other counties of the <br />Evergreen Forest County Group, a Rural Public Lands <br />County Council Affiliate. <br />INTERACTION: Judy Pless, Budget & Finance Manager confirmed the <br />amount is in the 2019 budget. The Prosecutors office <br />previously approved the same Memorandum of Agreement <br />via Camas #40827. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Approve a Memorandum of Agreement between Robert K. <br />Weidner and Kittitas County in the amount of $10,000.00 <br />to serve as the Washington, D.C. government relations <br />advisor to Kittitas County and other counties of the <br />Evergreen Forest County Group from January 1, 2019 <br />through December 31, 2019. <br />HANDLING: 1 — Clerk of the Board <br />1 copy — Robert Weidner <br />1 copy — Judy Pless, Budget & Finance Manager <br />ATTACHMENTS: Memorandum of Agreement <br />Invoice <br />Letter from Doug England, Chelan County — Chair of the <br />Evergreen Forest County Group <br />LEAD STAFF: Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board <br />
