BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2018-}$1, <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF OPTION OF RENEWAL BETWEEN <br />KITTITAS COUNTY AND SUMMIT FOOD SERVICES, FORMERLY KNOWN AS <br />CONSOLIDATED FOOD MANAGEMENT, INC . <br />WHEREAS, the Professional Services Agreement previously entered between <br />both parties allows Summit Food Services and Kittitas County Corrections to renew the <br />agreement; and <br />WHEREAS, the purpose of this option of renewal is to allow for the continuation of <br />the Agreement between both parties; and <br />WHEREAS, the Term of this Agreement may be modified upon mutual agreement <br />of the parties in writing, including extension for additional one-year terms; and <br />WHEREAS, Summit Food Services has expressed its desire to extend the period <br />of the agreement as allowed, as shown in the letter dated October 1, 2018, a copy of <br />which is attached hereto and incorporated by reference; and <br />WHEREAS , Kittitas County Corrections Center likewise desires to extend the <br />agreement in the same manner and under the same conditions as reflected in the original <br />Agreement as amended by the attached email; and <br />WHEREAS, Summit Food Services is seeking an increase of 2.5% per meal in the <br />rate paid over the 2017/2018 rates, documentation of which is also attached hereto and <br />incorporated by reference as part of the letter described above; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AND IT IS HEREBY ORDERED, that the <br />agreement between Summit Food Services and the Kittitas County Corrections Center for <br />the period ending December 31, 2018 is extended, and the new Term of this Agreement <br />shall commence on January 1, 2019 and continue to December 31, 2019. <br />ADOPTED this )0-1:-day of 1Nr,A}t,~ I" 2018. <br />RESOLUTION <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />~~UNTY, WASHINGTON <br />~c~ <br />Cory Wright, Board Member
