KITTITAS COUNTY <br />Board of County Commissioners <br /> <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: 09/18/2018 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve Cost Share Agreement For the Consumptive Use Pilot Study <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: Kittitas County and Patrick Deneen are partnering on a pilot study to quantitatively <br />determine the percent of consumptive use associated with indoor-only domestic use. <br />The results of the study will be used to determine the efficacy of alternative <br />mitigation strategies in subbasins currently without suitable mitigation options (e.g. <br />yellow and red zones). <br /> <br />Kittitas County has enlisted the services of Aspect Consulting to oversee the pilot <br />study and prepare a technical report at the end of the study. <br /> <br />Kittitas County and Patrick Deneen have agreed to share the cost of the Aspect <br />Consulting services. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: The Prosecutors office has reviewed the proposed Cost Share <br />Agreement. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends approval of the Cost Share Agreement for the <br />Consumptive Use Pilot Study <br /> <br />HANDLING: <br /> Original – Clerk of the Board <br /> <br />ATTACHMENTS: Aspect Consulting Contract <br />Signed Cost Share Agreement <br /> <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: Erin Moore, Water Resources Program Coordinator <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />
