KITTITAS COUNTY <br />Board of County Commissioners <br /> <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: September 4, 2018 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Public hearing to consider the purchase of real estate. <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: In 2016 the Solid Waste Department started working with CH2M now <br />known as Jacobs to locate a new site for the Ellensburg Transfer <br />Station. Jacobs along with Public input has recommending the Hwy <br />97 Old Highway 10 site. <br /> <br /> The Prosecutors office has been in negotiations with Property owner’s <br />representative of the Hwy 97/Old Highway 10 site. The Prosecutors <br />office has prepared a purchase and sales agreement. This agreement <br />is for Parcel 611033 which includes 54.95 acres and the Water rights. <br /> <br /> The purchase and sales agreement has been signed by the Chair <br />contingent on the adoption of a resolution authorizing the purchaser to <br />fund the purchase of the property. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: The Prosecutors office, and Solid Waste <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: Board to ratify Chairs signature on the Purchase and Sales agreement <br />and approval to move forward with the purchase of the property.
