KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />AGENDA DATE: <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />September 4, 2018 <br />Approve & Sign Addendum to Lease for Emory <br />LLC <br />BACKGROUND: On September 1, 2008, Emory LLC entered into a <br />lease for County land located at the Bowers Field <br />Airport within the Industrial Area. <br />INTERACTION: <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />HANDLING: <br />ATTACHMENTS: <br />LEAD STAFF: <br />Per RCW 36.34.180 the county is required to <br />renegotiate these long -tern leases every 5 years. <br />As of August 31, 2018, this lease was up for <br />renegotiation. <br />The lease rate reflects a 1.30% increase and will go <br />from $.064 per square foot to $.065 for a total dollar <br />increase of $47.34 per year. <br />The Consumer Price Index was used to determine <br />the rate of increase. <br />Also, added to the addendum are the Modification <br />or Termination clause, as directed by the Board of <br />County Commissioners and the Non -Discrimination <br />clause as required by the Federal Aviation <br />Administration. <br />Public Works, Emory LLC <br />Approve & Sign Addendum to Lease <br />Return I original to Public Works <br />Lease Addendum; Original Lease <br />Mark R.
