BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2018 - I r� 4 <br />AUTHORIZING THE CHAIR'S SIGNATURE ON WASHINGTON STATE DEPARTMENT <br />OF TRANSPORTATION AVIATION DIVISION GRANT AWARD DOCUMENTS <br />WHEREAS: Public Works (PW) recently received grant funding from the Federal Aviation <br />Administration (FAA) for environmental services at Bowers Field ($302,470); and <br />WHEREAS: The FAA is proposing to award a second grant to the County supporting a pavement <br />break project at Bowers Field runway 725 ($153,576); and <br />WHEREAS: The County is required to match federal aviation funding with ten percent (10%) of <br />the grant award amount; and <br />WHEREAS: PW applied to the Washington State Department of Transportation (WSDOT) <br />Aviation Division for five percent (5%) grant match to federal funding; and <br />WHEREAS: Public Works has received notice from Washington State Department of <br />Transportation (WSDOT) Aviation Division for federal grant matching funds at <br />Bowers Field; and <br />WHEREAS: The state money lowers the County's match obligation from the Airport Fund (101) <br />in the amount of $25,136; and <br />WHEREAS: Both projects have been awarded to a consultant and a contractor by the Board of <br />County Commissioners; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the best <br />interest of the public, does hereby authorize the Chair's signature on WSDOT Aviation Division <br />grant documents. <br />DATED this 7th day of August, 2018, at Ellensburg, Washington. <br />Attest: <br />-Clerk of the Board- Julie Kjorsvik <br />C� "(;Gory rrry' ala . <br />o`%. ••" Clerk of the Board- Mandy Buchholz <br />_ - <br />ti~ <br />rrrrrerr w i +'•+'+'�� <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />Obie O'Brien, Vice -Chairman <br />Cory Wright, Commissioner <br />
