BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIOINERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2018 -00 f <br />RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE A HEALTH DEPARTMENT FUND BALANCE <br />POLICY <br />WHEREAS, Kittitas County, through the Kittitas County Public Health Department (KCPHD), <br />is charged with the preservation, promotion, and improvement of health in the <br />County; and <br />WHEREAS, the preservation, promotion, and improvement of health includes having and <br />following a policy regarding fund balances; and <br />WHEREAS, the purpose of this policy to establish guidelines and a process for maintaining the <br />four main pieces of KCPHD's fund balance: Operating Expenses (OPEX) Reserve, <br />Tuberculosis, Capital Assets, and Unassigned, which ensures accountability and <br />the ability to cover current and future department needs. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners of Kittitas <br />County, Washington, hereby approves the fund balance policy attached hereto as Exhibit "A." <br />ADOPTED this J._J'}J{ day o[Ju--~·• 2018. <br />• Mandy Buchholz <br />OARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />~irman <br />~/~ <br />Obie OBrien, Vice Chamnan
