BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHING TON <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2018 -i ~ 1 <br />AUTHORIZING THE CHAIR'S SIGNATURE ON THE LOCAL AGENCY <br />FEDERAL AID PROJECT PROSPECTUS FOR THE NANEUM ROAD <br />CULVERT REPLACEMENT PROJECT <br />WHEREAS: The Naneum Road Culvert Replacement project will replace an <br />undersized culvert on Naneum Road with a larger structure designed to <br />meet current hydraulic demand as well as fish passage requirements; and <br />WHEREAS: Public Works received Surface Transportation Block Grant (STBG) <br />federal funds in the amount of $86,500 for the Preliminary Engineering <br />phase of this project; and <br />WHEREAS: In preparation to commence design work, Public Works is requesting the <br />Washington State Department of Transportation to release the federal <br />funds for Preliminary Engineering; and <br />WHEREAS: A Local Agency Federal Aid Project Prospectus must be executed by the <br />Chair acknowledging the project has been reviewed and is consistent with <br />the agency's comprehensive plan for community development; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in <br />the best interest of the public, does hereby approve the Chair's signature <br />on the Local Agency Federal Aid Project Prospectus for the Naneum Road <br />Culvert Replacement Project <br />DATED on this 7th day of August, 2018, at Ellensburg, Washington. <br />Attest: <br />~ Clerk of the Board-Julie Kjorsvik <br />It, I <br />BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS <br />Kl'ITI ~...._ ..
