KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />AGENDA DATE: <br />ACTION REQUESTED: <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />August 7, 2018 <br />Request to Approve a Resolution Accepting a Grant Award <br />from the Federal Aviation Administration for <br />Environmental Services at Bowers Field and Authorizing <br />Chair Signature on Grant Documents <br />BACKGROUND: Recently, Public Works successfully completed <br />negotiations with Century West Engineering for <br />environmental services supporting the 2018-2022 Airport <br />Capital Improvement plan. The Federal Aviation <br />Administration is offering $302,470 towards the total cost <br />of $332,080. The Airport Fund has funding to cover the <br />required ten percent (10%) match and has applied to <br />WSDOT aviation for match assistance. <br />INTERACTION: Public Works <br />RECOMMENDATION: Accept the offer of grant funding and authorize the Chair's <br />signature on grant award documents. <br />HANDLING: Return one original to Public Works <br />ATTACHMENTS: Exhibit 1: Resolution with grant attachment. <br />LEAD STAFF: Mark R.
