KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br />AGENDA DATE: August 7, 2018 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Resolution to Authorize the Chair's <br />Signature on Washington State Department of <br />Transportation Grant Acceptance Letter and Grant <br />Agreement for Matching Federal Aviation Administration <br />Bower's Field Grants <br />BACKGROUND: <br />Recently, Public Works (PW) was noticed of grant funding <br />award from the Federal Aviation Administration for <br />environmental services and breaking runway pavement at <br />Bowers Field. The County has a ten percent (10%) grant <br />match obligation for the federal grant. On July, 30, 2018; <br />PW received notice of grant award from Washington State <br />Department of Transportation (WSDOT) Aviation Division <br />of grant award matching the federal grants. The $25,136 <br />from WSDOT reduces the County's match share by five <br />percent (5%). <br />INTERACTION: <br />Public Works <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Authorize the Chair's signature on the grant acceptance <br />letter and grant agreement with WSDOT. <br />HANDLING: <br />Return one original to Public Works <br />ATTACHMENTS: <br />Exhibit l: Resolution with attachments <br />LEAD STAFF: <br />Mark R.
