KITTITAS COUNTY <br />SHERIFF’S OFFICE <br /> <br />AGENDA STAFF REPORT <br /> <br /> <br />AGENDA DATE: August 7, 2018 <br /> <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve Columbia Ford extended service and <br />maintenance warranties for the five (5) Kittitas County Sheriff’s Office patrol vehicles <br />purchased in 2018. <br /> <br /> <br />BACKGROUND: Kittitas County Sheriff’s Office is purchasing bumper-to-bumper <br />service warranties and extended maintenance warranties that will save the county money <br />over the life expectancy of the vehicles. These plans cover the costs of all maintenance <br />and repairs, excluding tires and collisions, and are put into effect as each vehicle goes <br />into service. <br /> <br />INTERACTION: The Kittitas County Prosecutor’s Office has reviewed and approved <br />this set of warranty contracts. <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: Request to Approve Columbia Ford extended service and <br />maintenance warranties for the five (5) Kittitas County Sheriff’s Office patrol vehicles <br />purchased in 2018. <br /> <br />HANDLING: Please return two sets of originals to the Sheriff’s Office to provide to the <br />vendor, one for them to keep and one to send back to us for our records. <br /> <br />LEAD STAFF: Command Staff <br /> <br />
