<br /> <br />PROCLAMATION <br /> <br /> <br />“Tia Hill Day” <br />June 21, 2018 <br />2A State Track & Field Champion – 300 Meter Hurdles <br /> <br />WHEREAS: Tia Hill is a recent 2018 graduate from Ellensburg High School and served as a leader <br />amongst the Ellensburg High School Girls Track & Field team; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: this past Track & Field season was Tia’s 2nd year competing in the 300 Meter Hurdle event <br />and her second straight State Championship Title; <br /> <br />WHEREAS: despite injuries Tia received in competition the previous day, between her hard work in <br />and off season, determination and commitment to the sport of Track & Field, she moved <br />past the pain while keeping a positive mindset which was reflected in the success of <br />winning another State Championship Title in the 300 Meter Hurdles; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: On Saturday May 26, 2018 Tia placed 1st at the 2A State Track & Field Championships in <br />the Girls 300 Meter Hurdles in Tacoma, Washington with a time of 44.96 seconds; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS: Tia should be recognized for her hard work, dedication, and passion for the sport of Track <br />& Field while representing her teammates, family, Ellensburg High School, and residents <br />of Kittitas County; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: The Board of County Commissioners asks the citizens of <br />Kittitas County to join them in celebrating and honoring Tia Hill and her second straight 2A State Track <br />& Field Championship Title for the Girls 300 Meter Hurdles by Proclaiming June 21, 2018 as “Tia Hill <br />Day” in Kittitas County. <br /> <br />ADOPTED this 19th day of June 2018. <br />THE KITTITAS COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br /> <br /> Laura Osiadacz, Chairman <br /> <br /> <br />Attest: Obie O’Brien, Vice-Chairman <br /> <br /> <br />Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board Paul Jewell, Commissioner
