BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2018 -053 <br />AUTHORIZING THE CHAIR'S SIGNATURE ON THE LOCAL AGENCY FEDERAL <br />AID PROJECT PROSPECTUS FOR THE MANAST ASH ROAD BRIDGE <br />REPLACEMENT PROJECT <br />WHEREAS: The Manastash Road Bridge project will replace the deteriorated bridge over <br />Manastash Creek at MP 10.60. This bridge is currently load restricted and is the <br />only access in and out for many residents and commercial operations; and <br />WHEREAS: Public Works received a grant from Federal Highways BRAC program for the <br />bridge replacement in the amount of $2 ,746,970 with a 13.5% local match <br />requirement; and <br />WHEREAS: Public Works was notified by the County Road Administration Board on August <br />17 , 2017 that the design funding necessary for the project had been awarded in <br />the amount of $315,480; and <br />WHEREAS: In preparation to advertise the project for construction in April of2018 Public <br />Works is requesting the Washington State Department of Transportation to <br />release the Federally Funds for construction; and <br />WHEREAS: A Local Agency Federal Aid Project Prospectus must be executed by the Chair <br />acknowledging the project has been reviewed and is consistent with the agency's <br />comprehensive plan for community development; and <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the best <br />interest of the public, does hereby approve the Chair's signature on the Local <br />Agency Federal Aid Project Prospectus for the Manastash Road Bridge <br />Replacement Project. <br />DATED on this 20th day of March, 2018, at Ellensburg, Washington . <br />~lIty Clerk of the Board-Mandy Buchholz '±fM!v, ecAMb(7;r <br />BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS <br />~~oJp-~':vUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />I,; j lil nez, Chairman <br />~~ <br />Obie O'Brien, Vice-Chairman <br />ABSENT <br />Paul Jewell , Commissioner
