PROCLAMATION <br />e <br />Cle Elum/Roslyn High School Boys Golf Team <br />2017 State Champions Day -June 23, 2017 <br />REAS: Nick Baker and Chase Marqu tte are student athletes from Cte ElumIRosl n High Scho I <br />who both qualified for the IA Boys Golf State T umam nt in 2016 and 2011; and <br />WHEREAS: in 2016 they had a team score of 69.00 and took fourth place in State; and <br />REAS: on May 23 & 24. 2017 Nick and Chase played in the lA Boys State GolfToumamen at <br />the Sun Willows Golf Course in Pasco, Washington; and <br />REAS: Nick finished 1 Sl and Chase placed 71b in th individuals which gave them a combined <br />score of 81.00 to take home the lA Boys Golf Team State Championship; and <br />HEREAS: the Kittitas County Board of Commissioners would like to recogniie Nick and Chase along <br />with their coaches for their accompli hments over the past two years and for tb iT hard <br />work, dedication. commitment and passion for the sport of golf; and <br />REAS: these two young men not onl brought home a State Championship for their school. but <br />they also served as ambassadors for Kittitas County throughout their season; <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: The Board of Commissioners would like torequ st that the <br />citizens of Kittitas County join them in celebrating and honoring the 2017 IA Boys' Golf eam and <br />Proclaim June 23,2017 as «'Cle ElumlRoslyn High School Boys Golf Team State Champions Day" in <br />Kittitas County. <br />ADOPTED this 20tb day of June 2017. <br />Obie O'Brien Commissioner <br />~ oYlU', ~Clerk octh; Board
