BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2017-12E3 <br />TITLE: Application for Transportation and Utility Systems and Facilities on Federal Lands, <br />United States Bureau of Reclamation Canal Crossing Permit Application <br />WHEREAS: The Kittitas County Board of County Commissioners approved the Big Creek <br />Trails Rezone (RZ-15-00001) to a Planned Unit Development in 2016; and <br />WHEREAS: A condition of approval requires a replacement of the existing federally owned <br />bridge (United States Bureau of Reclamation) located at the end of Lund Lane, <br />Cle Elum, W A; and <br />WHEREAS: The United States Bureau of Reclamation is requesting that Kittitas County own <br />and maintain the replacement bridge; and <br />WHEREAS: Kittitas County Public Works has agreed to submit the required canal crossing <br />application with a resolution from the Board of County Commission supporting <br />submission of the required application; <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the <br />best interest of the public, does hereby direct the Public Works Director submit the Application <br />for Transportation and Utility Systems and Facilities on Federal Lands to secure a permit <br />allowing the replacement of the existing federally owned bridge crossing the United States <br />Bureau of Reclamation's irrigation canal located at the end of Lund Lane, Cle Elum, W A. <br />DATED this 16th day of May, 2017, at Ellensburg, Washington. <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />Attest: <br />~ lerk of the Board-Julie Kjorsvik <br />Obie O'Brien, Commissioner
