BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITIITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION <br />NO. 2016-cq I <br />Resolution to Authorize Expanded Long Range Land Use Planning Consulting <br />Services from Van Ness Feldman <br />WHEREAS: The County entered into a Professional Services Agreement ("PSA") for planning <br />services, effective June 2,2009, with the law firm of GordonOerr LLP <br />("Consultant"); and <br />WHEREAS: The County executed Amendment No.1 to the PSA on February 22 ,2012, to <br />reflect the change in Consultant's name to Van Ness Feldman GordonDerr (Van <br />Ness); and <br />WHEREAS: The County has adopted within the 2016 budget in the amount of $60,000 the <br />continued professional services from Van Ness for limited long range and <br />current planning activities; and <br />WHEREAS : The sudden vacancy of a Long Range Planner II position in the County has <br />created an immediate need for additional long range planning efforts from <br />the planning consulting firm in order to continue the long range efforts in a <br />timely and coordinated manner; and <br />WHEREAS: The Interim Director has been approved to authorize the Scope of Work for the <br />allocation of approved funds for Van Ness services. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of County Commissioners, in the best <br />interest of the public, does hereby authorize the CDS Interim Director to sign a <br />Professional Services Agreement with Van Ness Feldman to conduct additional <br />long range planning services necessary to complete on-time long range <br />planning activities in additional funds not to exceed $80,000. <br />'(}fh . <br />DATED this _' -_'",day of, )ul\/ ;,; , <br />34619-1 <br />! 2016 at Ellensburg, Washington .
